3 Contemporary Kitchen Designs

When it comes to my own kitchen there are a couple of must-have ideas on my list. I would love to have an open plan kitchen and family area and I'm obsessed with large islands with a built-in breakfast bar. I've written about my 3 favourite kitchen designs below, these are by some amazing designers and are all beautiful family spaces that anybody would be proud of.

LAURA HAMMETT - SURREY FAMILY HOME

I'm in love with this kitchen design; it's super bright and spacious, the neutral colour palette feels really calming and the layout is practical yet sociable... it's everything I'd ever want in a kitchen!

DE ROSEE SA - HURLINGHAM ROAD

My favourite aspect of this kitchen is the simplicity of the design, sometimes simple is way more effective than an overcomplicated scheme. A few ways to achieve a cleaner look in your kitchen would be to keep the layout as symmetrical as possible, to install integrated handles in your cabinets and to hide as many appliances as you can.

RIGBY & RIGBY - MAYFAIR PENTHOUSE

This design is so effortlessly glamorous. The rich, blue fabric of the bar stools adds a sense of luxury against an otherwise neutral colour scheme. Although the aesthetic is clearly a priority, the design hasn't been compromised; clever storage solutions have been built-in with the island shelving and the use of every inch of space along the back wall.

I'd love to know what your priorities are when it comes to the kitchen. Do you prefer to keep it simple with a monochrome aesthetic or are you daring and like to inject colour?

Love, Bethany
